17 Suspects Arrested for Operating Illegal Website

Gambling scandal spired in South Korea. The Police department arrested 17 people on suspicion of operating a $92.1 million gambling website. The website was available for foreign customers as well. The official statement was made on Thursday. Find more news on the GBC Time site.

Since January 2018, the suspects were raising gambling money at offices located in South Chungcheong Province. The main goal of the group was to operate the website for foreign customers. The players from different countries were able to register for free and play any casino games on the website.

According to the official representatives, the suspects were relocating the offices every two months to stay away from the police eyes. The government officials are also sure that the group of suspects included immigrants without official ID documents.

Currently, 11 of 17 suspects are officially arrested and locked in.
