BetMGM Debuts "IT'S ON" Advertising Campaign Featuring Star-Studded Cast


On Wednesday, BetMGM Sportsbook premiered its new commercial campaign for “IT’S ON” across various social media platforms.

BetMGM ‘It’s ON’ Campaign Features Jamie Foxx, Athletes

The “IT’S ON” campaign features a host of athletes, actors, and BetMGM ambassadors within an “episodic series” that will make a nationally televised debut on Sept. 8 during Thursday Night Football. 

In the first episode, Jamie Foxx roams a suite he has in the Bellagio, asking Kevin Garnett, Wayne Gretzky, Jalen Rose, Barry Sander, and Vanessa Hudgens for betting tips and advice.

BetMGM ‘It’s ON’ Campaign to be Entertaining

The series was created by 72andSunny New York and directed by Peter Berg, known for his Executive Producer roles in both Entourage and Ballers.

“Entertainment is at the core of BetMGM, and we want this campaign to keep viewers on the edge of their seats in a way that’s unexpected from the sports betting and gaming industry,” Raymond Doyle, VP of Brand, BetMGM, said in a news release.

Over the next few months, BetMGM says that viewers will find a variety of skits, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Barry Sanders playing pickleball at an estate in Malibu
  • Jalen Rose and his barber
  • Wayne Gretzky joining Connor McDavid for an on-ice practice session

“We really wanted to show what makes sports betting so entertaining, and we looked to prestige ensemble TV for inspiration. ‘IT’S ON’ is about tapping into your competitive side and being part of sports betting culture. It’s something you can talk about with friends and engage with in a more meaningful way,” said Peter Hughes, the Creative Director of 72andSunny.

You’ll be able to find the campaign “across broadcast, OOH, digital and social channels” and also see the various personalities in the segments promoting across their social media accounts. 

The new spots are set to release to align with the sports happening at that time.
