Kambi Threw Its Weight Behind LMG Gaming in Puerto Rico in November 2022

Back in November 2022, Kambi announced it would be putting its full-throated support behind LMG Gaming (LMGG) – a new venture owned by the Puerto Rican media business Liberman Media Group. The deal arrived just ahead of the launch of the operator’s sportsbook on the island.

The long-term deal between the two specifies that Kambi will hand over its sportsbook technology to LMGG by powering LMGG’s ApuestaPR betting product. The initiative will first launch online, though it also has the potential to be expanded to retail in the very near future.

Naturally, Kambi’s highly coveted application programming interface (APIs) will also be used by LMGG, along with a whole slew of other marketing tools, to aid in promoting the brand on LMG’s Teleonce television network in Puerto Rico.

Winter Horton, who is one of LMGG’s major partners, said that the operator engaged in extensive research in order to arrive at Kambi Group, with a driving factor being its state of the art technology solutions services:

“After extensive research the choice was clear, Kambi is by far the best-in-class sportsbook in the industry and we are honored to build our business in Puerto Rico with them. With our top-rated Teleonce television network providing unlimited marketing and our key retail relationships, we are very confident that ApuestaPR will be the number one sports betting platform in Puerto Rico.”Winter Horton, Partner, LMG Gaming (LMGG),Press Release

Kambi co-founder and chief executive Kristian Nylén sees its partnership with LMGG as a key chance for the company to establish a footing in the unincorporated US territory:

“Partnering with LMG Gaming is an exciting opportunity, as they are on a mission to create the most engaging sports betting product in Puerto Rico. By leveraging Kambi’s enhanced empowerment and marketing tools, alongside its popular Teleonce brand, LMG Gaming will be able to reach its target audience and drive player engagement through a bespoke betting experience.”

Kambi Signed Multi-Channel Deal with Oaklawn Casino in August 2022

Kambi is clearly making deals left and right, as back in August 2022, it signed a multi-channel agreement with Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort in the US midwestern state of Arkansas.

Much like with del Lago Resort & Casino, Kambi is now directly providing Oaklawn with its on-property and online sportsbook solutions. Oaklawn operates both a racetrack and casino facility and already features Kambi’s renowned sports betting product.

Kristian Nylén welcomed the prospect of Kambi broadening its relationship with Oaklawn, evoking the facility’s long-running reputation:

“We’re very excited to strengthen our relationship with Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort and imminently extend our partnership into the mobile space. The combination of Kambi’s advanced technology and Oaklawn’s reputation as one of the premier thoroughbred tracks and casinos in the US makes this an enticing sports betting proposition.”
